Saw yesterday’s show & really enjoyed it – especially the Nurse and Mercutio (Queen Mab speech a real tour de force) Diction, clarity and intelligence of verse presentation was excellent
Very impressed (2 63 year olds and and an 84 year old!) by the focus of the sea of teenagers surrounding us – they were obviously totally caught up in the action.
Did the sloping stage cause problems during rehearsal?
Hope ful houses continue through the tour – you deserve them.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the production and really value your feedback. Thanks for spending the time to write on our website. We were very fortunate that we had the set right from the first day of rehearsals, so the company had a long time to get used to it. It will be interesting to see how the set looks in other venues.

Came to see you in York yesterday and it was amazing. I am 14 and it was the first ‘real play’ i have been to see. I have been so captivated and would LOVE to perform in something like that when i am older. Juliet (Rachel Spicer) was so good, she was pationate, fun and portraid a moody teen really well. Thank you for inspiring me

I went to watch romeo and juliet at York theatre royal! The whole play was cleverly thought of, the set ingenius and the sybolism used in the play-pure genius!!! I particualy enjoyed the characters and when different actors brought different things towards the play. I loved how all the characters used the flowers covering the set, and i now understand this plaay and think you put it across amazingly!!! Very insperational

Hi
Just saw the show at Poole – very good. I loved the use of the flowers and was impressed by the interpretation – enjoyed the bawdiness as I am sure that is what Shakespeare meant!

Is the song that was played at the end “you kiss by the book” (possibly) available to download or anything? It was beautiful
Rosy said this on November 12, 2010 at 1:51 pm |
You can download Kiss By The Book the single and the album soundtrack to the show on iTunes. Glad you liked it.
